"you could say that this Panerai PAM664 is nothing more than Panerai PAM024 on steroids"

Anyone with the required knowledge to be able to make such an observation seriously really ought to consider acquiring a life.

Watches that look like that do quite well amongst China's middle class who can't afford a Hublot

This marketing is clearly bullshit. E.g.

Sales of this model were done in strictly “first come, first served” basis and the only condition was that you had to prove that you are serving member with the Clearance Diving branch of Royal Navy in order to get one of these beauties.

That means they haven't sold any ... or servicemen are paid as much as tax barristers and premier league footballers

And if they've sold none, how can the have been resold on auction sites. Surely they haven't been given away!

Producing endless variations of the same two watches is what Panerai is all about tho, non?

Can he not throw it on Chrono24? Someone will buy it.

What is this bizarre obsession with being able to take watches deep under water?

I'd have thought naval divers these days prefer something with a trimix capable computer in it.
