I thought this was quite interesting - estate agents to have to check both seller and buyer ID on sale. Shades of that recent case where the bigger law firm was supposed to have checked the bona fides of the other side's property stealing client!

the estate agent on the sale of my old flat released the keys to the buyer before I / my solicitor even confirmed receipt of the funds.
