Football in England did not begin with the Premiership. Otherwise I nominate the entire Huddersfield Town triple Football League Division One Champions team of 1926. With Herbert Chapman as manager.

Or possible the Royal Engineers of 1875.

But not Chapman's Arsenal. They were crap as any fule know.

OGR; do you remember there was a day (1970s & early 80s) when the Italian League prohibited any foreigners from playing. I think they they moved to allowing 2 (subject to Italian immigration) in the 1980s before Bosman (1990s??)

McDonald, Golhouri and Fulop, all correct well done, You MUST have looked McDonald up Kaul. And Kevin Moore - I mean, who?

There are two you haven't got then

One Cameroonian midfielder, an early Harry redknapp signing at Pompey

One Dutch striker, scored a few goals in the Prem in the mid 90s, later had to retire when blinded by a gangster in a knife fight in Japan.

Here's a fact and a half for you

Marc-Vivien Foe tragically collapsed during the 2003 Cknfederations Cup semifinal, subsequently to die. His heart had failed at the age of only 28.

Cameroon had to make a substitution.

They brought on a raw, 19 year old midfielder called Valery Mezague. Died aged 30, of a heart attack, 2014.

Enke never played Prem. another tragic keeper was Leigh Richmond Roose, the first great Welsh footballer. Known for his ballplaying skills, he was an early sweeper-keeper, and in fact the rule against keepers handling outside their area was introduced to shackle him.

He was killed in World War One while charging an enemy gun emplacements in trench land. Poignantly described by Hugh Mcilvanney in his biog of Herbert champman: "the big man's last impetuous dash from his area".
