Brimful of Asha had at least one other hit. As did Crash Test Dummies.

Basically we need to google 90s Levi ads to get to the bottom of this.

ALL of those are amazing. I want to go back now, first to a Firkin pub and then to a provincial club in a Ben Sherman colour block shirt and my proper shoes (no trainers!), drink Jack and Cokes and have it!

Ok, to put in a new table with some of the suggestions

1. Your Woman - White Town
2. Spaceman - Babylon Zoo
3. Altogether Now - The Farm
4. Swamp Thing - The Grid
5. Hot Stepper - Ini Kamoze
6. Breakfast at Tiffanys - Deep Blue Something
7. How Bizarre - OMC
8. Steal My Sunshine - Len
9. In The Meantime - Spacehog
10. Jump - Kriss Kross

I think some of the aforementioned are from the 80s (Tiffany) and maybe even the 00s (Toploader) I think... not checked though.

Some have more than one hit (Chumbawumba, Hanson, Cornershop, Blind Melon).

Good work though so far gang.

You'll be arguing the toss on Prefab Sprout (King of Rock N' Roll) next (and yes I know that was 1988).

rednex - cotton eye joe (they had another hit "old pop in an oak" that got to #12
TMBG - birdhouse (Boss of Me got in the charts at some point, Istanbul didn't break the top 40)
eagle eyed cherry - save tonight (he had "falling in love again" and another song that got into the top 40)
weezer - buddy holly (they've had loads of hits)
dee-lite - I really don't like that song, sorry
chumbawumbe - tubthumping (they had "amnesia" too - not sure where it got to but it was definitely on a Now compilation)

Deee-lite totally qualifies.

I think songs should qualify if you cannot readily name another song by the artist. The fact that you had to google Rednex, They Might Be Giants, Eagle Eye Cherry and couldn't be arsed to google Weezer just proves my point.

I'll concede Mark Morrison, but he's still a khunt.

"dee-lite - I really don't like that song, sorry" I don't recall that track, but if you are ruling it out just because you don't like what is for many a great song then I can save you as they had a second top 40 hit in November 1990 (Power of Love at 25), so are not a one hit wonder anyhow.
