A partner who was kicked out of his firm has been restrained from contacting his former colleagues and their families.

A QBD judgment handed down on Tuesday by Sir Colin Mackay says that the un-named partner was "removed" from the firm. He explained that court orders had also been given to restrain him from harassing his former partners, their families, staff, investors in the firm and their solicitors.

Sir Colin held that it was appropriate to grant a three-month continuation of these injunctions. Apparently the partner appeared to be suffering from some mental health issues but there were "positive indications" that he might recover in time for the next hearing and be able to act for himself.

    Some harassment yesterday

The matter is clearly fairly serious as the the partners at the firm were represented by Dechert and Daniel Stilitz QC, neither of whom comes cheap.

Dechert would not comment.
