The British banker who was arrested after two prostitutes were found dead in his Hong Kong flat spent a vacation scheme at Latham & Watkins.

Rurik Jutting worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch until his arrest last week. But in 2007, towards the end of his history and law degree at Cambridge, he attended a vac scheme at Latham & Watkins. A fellow intern said that Jutting wrote a review of the scheme that was used by Latham in its graduate recruitment material. He added that Jutting "honestly seemed a normal guy, I barely recognise him in the photos".

Jutting has apparently admitted that there was no one else involved in the killings and denies that he is mentally ill.

It's not known whether Latham offered Jutting a training contract. The firm declined to comment.
