A former partner at Shearman & Sterling has put out a music video encouraging men to treat women with respect.

Darryl Snider was a litigation partner at the firm between 1993 and 1998. He now runs his own law firm, but obviously left with a song in his heart. About domestic violence. Under the pseudonym DaddyDaDa he has released a video of his song "Treat All Women With Respect". With most rappers going on about their bitches and hos, the message cannot be faulted. Even if it was hardly penned by Sondheim:

"Never hit a woman or abuse a child,
It's just wrong and illegal too,
Some day it will catch up with you
."

And DaddyDaDa looks the business. If a little like your father dancing at the school disco:

Word. Word to your mother. Literally.

The video was uploaded to YouTube last week and has already been viewed nearly 400,000 times. Respec'. DaddyDaDa is now trying to raise funding for his next music video which will focus on "how we treat our neighbours and friends in this day and age". At the time of going to press he had pulled in $350 towards a target of $25,000. Give generously.

Well at least he's trying and good luck to him for that. Not sure though why the only people in the video without trousers were female.
