Awful. I met her a couple of years ago & she was a lovely person. Seemed like one of the very few human beings in law.

That's so so sad, at that stage and age. Someone my age with children almost grown - nothing like as sad.
It is just so rare.

Worked opposite her on a deal a year ago. She sent me a supportive message at 2 a.m. after a really long, tough negotiation when we both had difficult clients - incredibly classy. This news is so sad.

I did a vacation placement at Eversheds in 2002 where Gemma was my trainee buddy. When I qualified in 2006 she was my NQ mentor. I left Eversheds last year and Gemma continued her role as a mentor in all that time despite being one of the busiest people in the Firm. On hearing I'd resigned she was incredibly supportive and promised we'd keep in touch. I felt sick when I heard the news. She really was on of the really good ones.

Very sad to hear about this loss. I knew Gemma when in our early twenties but had lost touch over the years, however I have always been very proud of how well she had done. I have nothing but great memories of you and will cherish them forever. Condolences to your family and friends. xx
