So far over 4,000 readers have contributed to RollOnFriday Firm of the Year 2016. The survey will close on Monday morning, so if you haven't already done so, you can complete it here.

Staff entertainment has been commented on by many, and Christmas celebrations were more eventful for some firms than others. A Fieldfisher partner reports proudly of "police at the xmas party", while a Skadden lawyer nervously refers to "cult-like speech" from a partner who led everyone in chanting "I will protect this house" while discussing the firm's market position. Word to Skadden partners: that's not normal.

Away from Masonic rituals, a Hogan Lovells lawyer is pleased with "a satisfyingly low twat:legend ratio". Although a colleague complains of an increasing Americanization of the firm, explaining that initiatives called "Project Redefine" and "Step Up" feel a little odd in London.

At DAC Beachcroft, a lawyer believes that the firm's limited offering means "it's basically an insurance gimp farm with a bit of a law firm on the side", but added, "to be fair it's not bad at insurance gimpery".

At Linklaters, a trainee bemoans that "it can sometimes feel like your arse is getting opened up by a partner wielding a heavy-duty car jack ... it amazes me how many people seem to enjoy it!" For some firms certain points will always stick, as a Browne Jacobson lawyer admits "my friends are *still* amused by its initials".

Is your firm heading for Firm of the Year success?

  Or the Golden Turd?

Firms I.T. systems came in for some stick. A Jones Day lawyer summed up his experience as "f****** lotus notes", while an Addleshaw Goddard lawyer, waiting for IT to fix the Caps Lock on his keyboard, reported "I.T. IS RUBBISH".

Working at Jones day with their pathetic office "support" staff and 20th century IT system and deaf management partnership sittting in the US is enough to make a sane person go loco
