A self-styled celebrity barrister has admitted supplying the drugs which killed his boyfriend at a chemsex orgy in Temple.

35-year-old Henry Hendron bought £1,000 of Mephedrone (known as 'Meow Meow') and GBL from a BBC producer, which he provided to guests at cost price for a two-day chemsex bender at his flat near his chambers in Inner Temple Lane. After the party, which took place in January, Hendron found the body of his partner, 18-year-old Spanish waiter Miguel Jimenez, who had died of an overdose.

Hendron has styled himself as a celebrity barrister and his self-portrait-filled site promotes his work acting for Apprentice winner Stella English in her claim against Alan Sugar and defending Tory MP Nadine Dorries against accusations she smeared an opponent. As a 17-year old, Hendron spoke at the 1998 Conservative Party conference calling for the reintroduction of the death penalty.

At his trial at the Old Bailey, which he attended wearing a Middle Temple tie, the barrister was represented by his twin brother Richard Hendron. The court heard that he bought the drugs "in bulk for use in what is known as the gay chemsex scene" in which participants engage in days-long parties fuelled by sexually disinhibiting drugs, often having sex with multiple partners.

Judge Richard Marks QC told Hendron, "This is obviously a serious matter and all options remain open to the court". He will be sentenced on 3 May.

These tacky, poorly-put-together websites do make me cringe. I wonder what is going through the minds of the people who commission them, create them and sign them off. I can't imagine ever instructing someone with a website like that.

His brother is currently representing that bird that got chopped from UKIP. Big week for representing muppets for R Hendron

The press reports calling him a 'top lawyer' are clearly overstated given his career history and the company he and his brother keep. Arrogant little pip squeak doesn't really do him justice. Hopefully his sentencing judge will.

Clearly been a naughty boy who needs to receive a serious sentence, but I think the knowledge that he supplied deadly drugs to his boyfriend will outweigh a prison sentence.

Gosh you are a hard bunch of vultures. The man did something stupid and lost his friend as well as his livelihood. Back off, armchair moral warriors
