Stories have appeared across the media asserting that Boris Johnson's wife is the victim of false rumours that she is the QC who was touched up round the back of Waterloo station.

On 20th August last year a drunk couple were spotted during the evening rush hour outside the central London station. Graeme Stening, an ex-Simmons & Simmons and Pinsent Masons lawyer who is now the general counsel for private equity firm Doughty Hanson & Co, allegedly fondled his winky and his companion's foo foo while she leaned against a wall with her knickers round her ankles. Offended commuters called the police and the pissed pair were arrested and locked in the cells overnight. The next morning, Stening denied any wrongdoing and was charged with outraging public decency while the woman, a QC, accepted a police caution.

However, six weeks later the barrister changed her mind and accused Stening of sexually assaulting her, telling police that she should not have accepted the caution. Commentators have accused the QC, who is married but not to Stening, of cynically abusing the law and throwing Stening under the bus in order to hide her identity. As an alleged victim of sexual assault she is now guaranteed anonymity for life whether or not charges against Stening are pursued.

False rumours that the QC is Boris Johnson's wife have been swirling around Temple for months. This week, however, several newspapers cited unnamed sources stating that Marina Wheeler is definitely not the unnamed barrister. They suggest that the Bremain campaign has spread the lie in an attempt to smear Boris and Brexit.

The relevant QC, whose identity RollOnFriday clearly can't reveal, has a duty to report her police caution to the Bar Standards Board under the barristers' Code of Conduct. A spokeswoman for the BSB told RollOnFriday that "the matter is being dealt with in line with our normal procedures", but would not confirm whether the barrister has complied with the rules.

Meanwhile, the Crown Prosecution Service has still not received a file from the police on the sexual assault charge against Stening. He is scheduled to stand trial for outraging public decency in June.

I have looked at almost 200 photos of female Q.C's. Compare with the one in the "Sun" pixilated and it seems to be of an Asian person (?) Narrows it down eh.
