A senior lawyer from Bristol has been told he may be jailed after headbutting a kids' rugby coach.

Gavin Dowell was a partner at TLT before moving in February 2014 to the Cheltenham office of Harrison Clark Rickerbys as a "senior legal counsel". In October 2014 he was at an under 16s rugby match in Bristol when he decided to headbutt Mark Scoble, a youth team coach. The two men were apparently friends, and Scoble had not wanted the matter taken any further. But the police took a dim view of such a blatant and serious assault and Dowell was charged with GBH.

Do you want some? Because you're going to f*cking get some.

Dowell originally pleaded not guilty but changed his mind on Wednesday and admitted the charge. He was bailed for a pre sentence report, but The Bristol Post quotes Recorder Marcus Tregaskis-Davey as saying that "at the forefront of any judge's mind will be immediate custody".

Neither TLT nor HCR would comment. Presumably because Dowell looks hard as nails and  no one in his right mind would want to get on the wrong side of him.

Why would TLT comment on the behaviour of a partner that left their practice nearly two and half years ago???
