DLA Piper is still dealing with the fallout of the massive ransomware attack which crippled its IT systems in June.

Sources told RollOnFriday that the firm is "still reeling from the cyber attacks". They cited "email outages most days", no access to the intranet or HR pages, and said that staff are banned from taking laptops away from the office. However the firm has apparently offered staff free massages "to cope with the stress of the cyber attacks".

"Sorry, the malware's made all the music Limp Bizkit."

DLA conceded to RollOnFriday that there "have been a couple of short email outages which have caused some slowness, and occasional problems with mobile email, in some regions of the world". But "the flow of email has not been interrupted". HR pages will, it said, "be available soon", while an interim intranet is in place which provides access to the "important information". Apparently the firm "could actually have brought the intranet back sooner", but DLA Piper has taken the opportunity afforded by a Russian teenager being a total git to "make some design improvements".

Presumably referring to papier mâché laptops crafted by solicitors, a spokeswoman for DLA Piper added, "Throughout what has been a challenging time, our people have shown the spirit and creativity that makes DLA Piper unique and we are very proud of, and grateful for, their efforts". She added, "We are also thankful to our clients and other contacts, including other law firms, who have been very supportive".
