DLA Piper has suspended a worker for harassing a female member of staff.

An employee of Ricoh, an outsourcing company which DLA Piper uses to provide some of its support services. was suspended from the firm's London office after a DLA staff member complained that he had been harassing her.

A DLA Piper spokeswoman said that following a complaint "concerning the conduct of a Ricoh employee", an investigation was undertaken and he "no longer works on our account". She added, "We expect everyone working in our offices, including suppliers and contractors, to uphold high standards of behaviour and we are committed to taking prompt action where this is not the case".

Jim knew she'd love discovering that every other page of her document was his face.

A spokeswoman for Ricoh said it "holds every single member of its staff to high standards of conduct", and that "Working closely with DLA Piper, we took immediate action to investigate this complaint and responded appropriately and decisively”.

It is not the first time DLA Piper has had issues with its Ricoh contingent. Last year Faisal Ahmed, a Ricoh staffer who was employed in DLA's reprographics team, was jailed for a homophobic attack in Soho. A source suggested to RollOnFriday that when DLA makes its move to its new building at Aldersgate later this year, Ricoh may not: "They're under review with only a year left on their contract".

Here we go. Another campaign by an incel commenter trying to discredit the idea that sexual harassment occurs.

Anonymous 29 July 18 19:18

@10:40 - yes, referring to males as 'incels' does indeed discredit the idea that sexual harassment occurs.

What was the 'sexual harassment' he was accused of and what was his defence?

@10:40 - it appears that someone liked your comment, reloaded the page and liked it again over 100 times is the space of around half an hour.

I hope that you will join me in condemning whoever did this as it gives a misleading impression of how many people agree with your views and choice of language and also of the scale of sexual harassment.

@29/07 20:55 - so you are referring to males as incels then, as you've just acknowledged. Really helps your argument.

What was the 'sexual harassment he was accused of and what was his defence?

You mean the same way the comment was disliked by 50 people in a similar time frame?

Afraid it's a simple case that I sound like less of a bitter humourless man with an axe to grind than you to the rod reading public. I do confess schadenfreude at seeing how much it has ruled you thoigh. You must have been howling in frustration at realising you couldn't game the comments...

@18:08 - yes, like that, and the same way someone liked the comment 60 times in a row earlier. Someone liked your comment 150 times, over and over again in the course of a day - nothing to do with the public or what they think you sound like I'm afraid.

I hope that you will join me in condemning whoever did this as it gives a misleading impression of how many people agree with your views and choice of language and also of the scale of sexual harassment.
