News of a quite extraordinary sexual harassment claim has reached RollOnFriday from Texas, the details of which set pulses racing.

Pam Matranga is currently Galveston County Constable, but her chances of re-election seem slim following the filing of the extraordinary claim by her former deputy, James Gist. Gist resigned from his job as Matranga's deputy last year after he allegedly bugged their office. In his claim against his former boss, he explains that he installed the recording device in an attempt to catch her making "unwanted and uninvited sexual advances". He alleges that harassment took a variety of lurid and disturbing forms, summarised in his claim as follows:

• "Matranga walked up behind Plaintiff and pulled her shirt over Plaintiff's head and held him in a headlock for several seconds, placing Plaintiff's head in Defendant Matranga's cleavage".
• "Plaintiff dropped a pen and went to retrieve the pen from the floor. When he did so Defendant Matranga stated, "While you're down there, why don't you help yourself to some 'duck taco''".
• "Matranga...began joking with Plaintiff about attending "chunky chick night" at strip clubs in the area where...Matranga would have the opportunity to perform...Matranga proceeded to lift one leg over the armrest of Plaintiff's clair and began making gyrating motions with her hips"
• "Matranga, while standing in the doorway of her office, deliberately farted and looked at plaintiff while rubbing the clothing area covering her vagina and stated, 'Why can't I get a man?""

Gist is claiming unspecified damages for lost wages, pain and suffering and, unsurprisingly, "extreme emotional distress and mental anguish". Matranga told local press that she was "a jester, I am not a girlie girl...I think a lot of things have been taken out of context".
