A US lawyer who photoshopped her face into pictures of celebrities is facing a suspension for failing to co-operate with an ethics probe.

Svitlana Sangary included a 'Publicity' section on her firm website, resembling the wall of a high street trattoria and featuring photos of herself with a galaxy of stars including Obama, the Clintons, Morgan Freeeman, Pierce Brosnan, Warren Beatty and Arnie.

Only it seems that none of the photos were real. An expert testified that Sangary had manipulated many, if not all, of the images by replacing a someone else's head with her own.

Sangary made just one careless mistake

Sangary initially refused to respond to the California ethics bar's inquiries into the allegations of deceptive advertising, and when she did file documents the judge described them as “a bizarre...16 page soliloquy” with “little to no rational connection to the charges at hand.”

RollOnFriday begs to differ. The section where "none other than Natalie Portman comes to mind", is highly relevant. Sangary explains how a dancer in Black Swan "says that Natalie Portman's head was superimposed on to [her] body and that Natalie Portman lied", yet far from being investigated "Natalie Portman has won an Oscar for her perfomance".

Elsewhere she reveals, “Sangary’s American dream has come true, as she has been able to achieve a point wherein now, in her thirties, [sic] Sangary is a prominent donor and philanthropist, supporting important social causes, who had recently received the email from President Obama with the subject line ‘I need your help today,’ asking SVITLANA SANGARY for an additional donation".

The judge appeared to be more concerned with Sangary's lack of co-operation than her dodgy snaps, recommending a three month suspension and a three year probation but no cancellation of her Grazia subscription.
