SJ Berwin has celebrated joining King & Wood Mallesons by making a bizarre video, 'Defying Stereotypes' which features synchronised diving and a partner on a surfboard.
The bonkers effort begins with a pouty Asian lady wearing a tight 'Welcome to King & Wood Mallesons World' T-shirt next to the Burj al Arab hotel in Dubai (set to, erm, David Bowie's 'China Girl').
What follows is a number of people taking part in a cross between a wet T-shirt competition and an aquatic circus. Mostly played backwards, to the Benny Hill theme tune.
The ringmaster and star of the piece is Tim Taylor QC. The legacy SJB partner is carried across the waves by underlings before mounting a surfboard in his robes. Insiders told RollOnFriday that the masterpiece was shot on Taylor's iPhone.
Taylor, the firm's Head of International Arbitration, is no stranger to the limelight. Fans of Made In Chelsea will know him from his appearance as Hugo's dad in series 3, episode 6, in which he meets his son's girlfriend for the first time and wears an intimidating goatee.
A spokeswoman for the firm told RollOnFriday that the video was created for "internal consumption only" to encourage the newly merged teams to "introduce themselves to each other in a light-hearted, unstuffy way". She continued, "Have we "defied stereotypes"? Most definitely. Will everyone get the joke? We hope so."
The video can be seen in its full glory here.
*rumoured to be by Jonathan Yeo, in which case it cost quite a lot.
