Ben and Jerry's

to stop selling ice cream in occupied Palestine.....

The point they’re making is absolutely fair enough and there is no reason businesses should not advocate, nor act on, political positions. The only people who complain about businesses enacting their social consciences are people who happen to disagree with the business in question.

A bit of a miscalculation in my view as it would please neither side--one side will think it's an anti-Israel stance (even though they are remaining in Israel itself) and the other side will think they are not going far enough.

If your political principles are good and sound, like opposition to the Israeli oppression of Palestine is, then it doesn’t matter for what purpose you hold them, including marketing. Right is right.

Oh well.  Never mind.  "Occupied Palestine" is still one of the best places in the world to be a Muslim despite the lack of B&J ice cream.  Can't have everything.

I thought "Occupied Palestine" was the one with the little marshmallows and caramel core.

I prefer the Gaza Strip one.  It has a strip of that exploding candy down the middle.
