AJ v Usyk (sp?).

Has banana skin writ large for me clive.  I predict a very wobbly one, with AJ regathering himself in the 6th for a knockdown

I probably won’t watch it. I’m still disappointed that we’re not seeing Fury and Joshua. I think that Joshua will KO him in the second half. He’s obviously great but won’t have ever dealt with the punching power of Joshua before and it will grind him down.

Usyk is taller with better reach than Ruiz, who obviously caused AJ massive problems (in both fights)

Usyk is also a much much better fighter than Ruiz, albet without 20 stone behind each punch

I think usyk will cause him big problems. The question marks are around Usyk really as he hasn’t been in with as big a hitter as AJ. If he has a reasonably good chin, it could be a long night

Usky is actually bigger than george foreman was in the rumble in the jungle, crazy thinking about how big the heavyweights have got. Ali would probably be a cruiser weight these days

I think the second ruiz fight is more instructive. AJ completely changed his style and fought the whole night on the back foot to keep Ruiz at bay. He struggled to deal with the shorter man on the inside. if he adopts that strategy against Usyk he will have his ears boxed off

Usyk is bigger than holyfield, tyson, Ali...

TBF I don't think any of them would have beaten Fury

I don't think the Fury v AJ fight will happen regardless of the purse.  Maybe because of the size of the purse.

Usyk looks like he's gone too big for this one. I think he'll struggle with the extra weight and AJ will get the KO in the later rounds as he starts to tire.

£25 to watch this.

TWENTY FIVE QUID.

They can fook right off. £25 is about the right price to pay for a ticket to see it live. I am not paying this to watch it on my telly, particularly when I already pay a sizeable subscription fee.

Usyk is the best cruiser since Holyfield. I think he may do this depends how hard AJ has trained and on his fitness. Joshua could with his power easily win this early but i lean towards Usyk

called it perfectly

Wuhan did nail it to be fair.

AJ is just a bit gutless. Doesn’t have the heart to dominate at this level. I would love to see him get mashed up by Fury. I’m not sure he would even be able to handle Wilder isn’t a particularly good boxer but is a very dangerous puncher. All wild swings.

The ruiz fight ended him. He is so terrified of taking a punch now. Once Usyk dinged him in the first round, he was on the back foot. His chin is not good. I think his career is over. Usyk will beat him again, Fury would dominate him and Wilder would probably knock him out. I think Joyce would probably do him as well. What other fights are out there? I doubt he would go after ruiz again. Parker or Chisora? Its over for AJ im afraid

I completely forgot about it and went to bed!  Reading the BBC report it seems AJ was well schooled.  Good work Usyk.  Reckon him v fury would be a proper boxing match.

Fantastic fight.

This was no ordinary boxer that AJ was fighting. It was his most difficult opponent to date. Usyk, trained by Lomachenko's dad, with superb hand speed and footwork, was an absolutely top opponent.

Very difficult fight for AJ to plan for. There aren't sparring partners out there like Usyk. AJ came out too tentatively, and immediately felt the power of Usyk. That sent him back into his shell.

AJ was better than many gave him credit, but Usyk was simply too quick and carried too much power. The Sky commentary, with Matthew Macklin stating that Usyk would tire, hadn't done their homework. The opposite was the case, in the 12th round, he had AJ in real trouble.

The rematch. This time AJ is the underdog. He needs to fight like he did against the likes of Charles Martin. Firm jab, and follow up with the right hand. Possibly drop a little more weight and get faster still, but not at the expense of power. Use his reach.

Unlike many, I think AJ can beat Usyk in a rematch, but Usyk is the favourite. Usyk has not lost in years.

Fury. Had the chance to fight AJ. He didn't. Fury specialises in picking the right opponents at the right time.
