Sorry but I really truly honestly don’t understand why anyone cares what gender someone else self identifies as. 

It’s like gay marriage if you ain’t in one it doesn’t affect you. 

I certainly care about free speech, not being forced into Orwellian dystopian double think and also actually trans women simply aren’t as a matter of biology women. 

It does affect women though in sports, prisons, refugee etc etc. It's not analogous with gay marriage.

To be fair, what Hools said at least in part.  I don't really give a sh1t about sports but there are some genuine safety concerns if a prisoner can stick on a wig (or not bother to do so) sign a piece of paper declaring himself a woman and ask to be moved to woman's prison. 

The answer to that surely cannot be that there is no legal ability for people to transition though. Like so many things at the moment it needs some genuine, sensitive and well intentioned thought to resolve but instead all we get is both sides screaming about their 'rights' and accusing the other side of hate.

The number of people actually affected by all this is tiny, but because the activists are so enraged, full of hate and bile, the issues are scarcely discussed and instead we get accusations and push for stupid changes that would disadvantage and oppress half the population.....

A man in Canada sued various beauticians for refusing to give him a bikini wax because he identifies as a woman (with a penis and testicles) and it's discriminatory for them to refuse.

There are all sorts of reasons it matters.

Fundamentally, it is an extremely sexist credo 

Saying It doesn't matter is the same as saying men's rights activists don't matter
