No and most of the police here are armed, it doesnt seem to an issue.
I am though interested in the firearms issue with WC. whilst not saying it would have made any difference to the horrific crimes has been convicted of. In the UK one whiff of anything, eg DV then in my experience the police revoke firearms licences. The default position , right or wrong is that they basically want less guns out there so will use any excuse to revoke.
