FRA v ENG

I have a feeling France are going to smash this. And if they do, Eddie has to go, surely?

France have been in a bit of disarray behind the scenes, so maybe they won’t be quite as strong as would be expected.

Obviously want England to win, but if we are to lose let it be a real stuffing so the nasty gnome is finally given loads of grief by his sycophants in the media.

And just because Puffing Billy makes a few easy yards on kick returns, let’s not have a load of bollix about well he’s now playing...

I think france but I so badly want to say england!

I also think it's a sackable offence for England to only beat Italy in a 6n. That hasn't happened yet and even if it does, can't see eddie actually being sacked.

Always love Le Crunch! Been to Stade a number of times - copped a load of abuse there on a number of occasions but also had some great experiences with french fans. Just a shame Stade is the middle of a run down industrial estate! Obviously irrelevant given its Twickenham.

Come on England!

France are superb to watch when they play like this.

After 20 minutes of good discipline England have given a few penalties away again. Particularly when attacking - England were well inside Frances half and found themselves defending a line-out just outside their own 22 for that try.

fantastic game to watch, but let’s face it of the two teams, if ur picking one likely to win wc2023, the almost perfectly executed rolling with the punches france have my bet

Much better,

Nasty Eddie and Puffing Billy basically rescued by Super Maro.

Still so much wrong with his selection. Marcus Smith should be at 10 quite obviously.

Oracle -  maybe, but they’ve faded badly in every game I’ve seen so far. As long as they aren’t out of sight after 50 mins you’ve got a chance against them

i reckon that’s an age thing jy. their average age is probably in marshall hall’s ideal female range

so with experience over the next two years they’ve got huge potential. potential, mind, so they’re still not there yet, but they have some astonishingly hood young’uns

Daly was good when he came on - but game had broken up by then.

Lots of stupid penalties by the usual suspects.

Good game from Billy, Youngs and Farrell. Felt slade was good as well, although why he jumped out of line for second french try is beyond me.

I think I'm happier with england actually playing some fun rugby than the result. Love watching Watson in full flight.

dunno why people r not backing watson for motm - pretty much every time we got any points came from him making a break

absent watson we would have been toothless. curry and itoje excellent in contact, much improved on discipline - but we nearly lost this game because of a lack of creativity and ball carriers getting isolated due to our back row not being mobile enough

England played two very different styles from half to half, it worked and I will applaud that. They have lacked that for a number of games, maybe years, changing the way they play during a match. A fabulous win, and one I hope will give the squad and the RFU a boost.

It was England's best performance of the tournament by a distance, full of endeavour and flashes of clinical execution, with Henry Slade and Tom Curry excelling.

England's bench were making a real difference, especially Elliot Daly who glided into space with ease armed with a point to prove after being dropped for Malins.

Youngs had a good game Rog, Farrell made his kicks but same old 'tackle high get bumped off' defence. Billy did not have a good game, he barely carried forpositive yardage and was getting stopped or pushed back by individual defenders.

Very good game of rugby.

England had at least four forays into the French 22 in the second half where they lost the ball - three holding on and an obstruction. Probably more.

French tailed off badly in the second half apart from their defence which held up. England could have won by a lot more.

Agree with Spurius. England were much better and deserved to win imo, but hamstrung somewhat again by indiscipline in attack in the second half. Will make a world of difference if they can improve that.
