Brrrap sorry mate but that's really tame. It's a 10 hour direct flight isn't it? Just get her some decent earphones so she can get stuck into the in flight entertainment and she'll drop off eventually. 

Good plan Elephant, I'm wanting to do a properly long walk and have started some training but not yet narrowed down which I want to do. Maybe one of the Camino routes, maybe St Cuthberts way.

Does a luxury Nile cruise count? Might do that around Christmas.

Yes that one is not hard but it has the advantage of being able to swim and snorkel as you go in blue waters. 

The Manx isn't really an adventure, but I'll be waving my flag behind a piece of safety string there.

Going to buy a new shed. (Not an adventure in itself, but clearing out the old one could get a bit Indiana Jones... who knows what lurks?)
