don't worry Dalek, it's not that sort of dom, you can hop back up off your knees sun and, maybe put something on that isn't latex

No 10 says it's untrue Rishi Sunak involved in talks on setting up a venture capital fund in AI, potentially in US, post election.

They say you'd expect him to meet firms in role but "PM is focused on his job of making long term decisions to change the country for the better".

AND EVEN IF WAS TRUE THAT THE PRIME MINISTER WAS DOING THIS, HE SHOULD BE CONGRATULATED ON BEING SO ENTREPRENEURIAL!!

BUT OF COURSE HE HAS CATEGORICALLY DISPROVED THESE ALLEGATIONS BECAUSE HE’S NOT MEETING FIRMS YET!!

heh, after years of giving everyone else shite about how they’re going to get their comeuppance over some impending legislative change that is going to right their many wrongs, tax exile risky faces a big tax bill

OH WELL WHAT A SHAME NEVER MIND

is there an (as close to impartial as possible) analysis somewhere on the benefit to the economy of non doms hanging around versus taxing them?

I suspect it might put a few execs off moving to the UK, the new immigration regime is already an absolute dogs breakfast to senior management used to being able to jump around europe at will and I can see a few people panicking that being moved to london will fcuk them on inheritance tax etc

that aside, there is probably a moral case for making the UK tax system fairer and the non dom regime is abused to absurdity (Philip Greene anyone)
