I’ll wear a mask in sainsbos next visit. Because the people who work there deserve my basic respect. They have a shit job, they’re not very bright and many look vulnerable to all sorts of ailments.
Waitrose around here does seem to employ a bountiful lot of 20 + year olds that are attractive and you could potentially take home to meet your mother.

Think I saw a list like that on Twitter. Was it Lockdown Sceptics, or Big Brother Watch or something like that?

My local Sainsburys has removed all signage and barriers and the sign outside about masks basically says ‘it’s up to you but it would be nice’
hope they’ve kept all the stuff safe in storage as they are bound to need it again

Who or what is Ben Garrison? Keep seeing references to this online and fear it may not be safe to Google.

At Waitrose of course one expects one’s shoes to be polished and a shop girl to be made available

Having some general respect for lower paid workers is a good trait for a human but unfortunately sadly missing from many Roffers.
Figures.

But what benefit is it to them?

I thought Sainsbury's was merely encouraging? I saw many people moaning about the maskless staff and removal of plastic screens yday.

Waitrose does indeed seem to have a high % of hotties in their late teens and early 20s.
I guess they have decent clientele and it's the sort of place mummy and daddy approves them to get some part-time work as a result.

Not Bothered Limited here.
EP you haven't been to a rural Waitrose where the staff are generally over 50 and to be fair to Waitrose and their recruitment not able bodied.

Both my local pubs are keeping some of the screens until “ we can be sure we don’t have to put them all back again soon”
that said they have removed a lot of the screens and there a few which have been randomly plonked about the pub

Ah one of my locals has decided to remove all the screens after all. Last night both pubs all the staff were masked , not a single punter had masks.

Tbh now that masks are no longer a legal requirement I don't find wearing one so objectionable.
Certainly not in shops anyway (the tube is too hot and they can fookk off with imposing it as a strict requirement)
It's less objectionable than mandatory self isolation, which should be scrapped asap.

My supermarket staff have their masks at half mast so I follow their lead.
