He understands that there is a separation of church and state and respects the law.

One can have a personal religious beliefs  and also think others are free to have their own beliefs and values and  the right to live in a non theocratic state. 

I don’t know Scylla. Most Catholics I know are wholly opposed to abortion. Biden has said he supports the right to chose - that’s his belief. He hasn’t said he’s personally against it but supports the right for the reasons you say. Given he’s a regular churchgoer and seems to have been a faithful husband (unlike Trump) I can only imagine he’s thought of it from time to time and probably spoken to senior Catholics about it. 

The goat thing would be ok in the US but spit roasting Jesus would put a few people off.

Most catholics I know are pretty lapsed so have no problems with abortions or birth control.

Crypto  have no idea how many is in your sample m8 but, as a Catholic living in the UK , all I can say is that outside of the clergy and nuns and a tiny tiny group of ultras (that have equivalent in all organised religions) 99% of UK catholics I know recognize the right to abortion as a public health “good”  and are not “wholly opposed to abortion”

Sure there’s going to be a range of opinions on term limits but to imply there is any kind of desire by UK Catholics to support an abortion ban is utterly absurd 

In fact I’d say that numerically the core movers of fringe UK politics for an abortion ban comes from evangelical CofE/Protestant types that have been exposed to some Septic funded bollox on this subject

I'm a Catholic, grew up surrounded by them.  I can say for certain that most Catholics I know are ok with abortion, particularly on medical grounds.

Interesting. I only know 3 Catholics well enough to have discussed it with. They’re all anti-abortion but are ok with pre-marital sex and same sex relationships. 

My knowledge of religion is pretty limited so I’m pleased to read what I’ve learned on this thread.
