I’m thinking of joining one. Been having lessons. Nice parkland course with views over a rolling kent valley, not the kind of place that will be hosting the open, friendly club, good clubhouse bar.

I’m sure ROF’s chuntering cornfed millenials have a received opinion on golf as they do on, say, Coldplay. But to me it  seems like a good sport for this stage of life, will give me an excuse to escape the family, and moreover it’s an important part of my inherited culture as a middle class home counties khunt.

I’ve been a member of several different ones in various countries over the years as well as my own in the UK.

To blend in with the crowd though you may not wish to speak too loudly or forcefully about your general all things anti-tozza stance, tho’

No I am not

I do find that when I play golf (when not on corporates) it is not quite as toffy as I expect

Plenty of normal geezers just slapping a ball about badly, having beers and calling each other swear words

That said, I don't play at posho clubs

I have always despised golf but I am actually considering it as a fair few mates play and it’s a great excuse to get away from the house for a good length of time…  Absolutley perfect weather for it here in winter as well.

Golf is actually not a bad game when played with normal people but golf clubs tend to be full of c unts and obvs the famous ones are absolute havens for the sort of people who should be shot.

Donny, is there not a proud tradition of working class golf in your homeland? There is in mine because they built municipal golf courses on half the closed pits.

Been a member of a couple over the years.

Once we had young children I couldn’t justify taking 5-6 hours out of a weekend day, and never really enjoyed it that much.

If we had a nice local 9 hole course I would join immediately, but everything around me is 18 holes.

There’s still a lot of pathetic status malarkey in lots of ‘old-school’ clubs eg. The Captains’s parking spot etc etc.

No.

I realised a long time ago that it would cost me an awful lot of time and money to be slightly less shyt at golf.  Also it is very boring.

I do like taking the kids to the driving range where they have a sort of definitely-not-pokemon game where u collect creatures depending on where your ball lands.

The only bit of golf i really enjoy is belting the little cvnt 200 yards.*
