The Ryder Cup Thread

Americans looking strong already.

Crowd absolutely unbearable already, and they haven't even had their bud lites yet.

He didn't on the second.  Great tee shot on the third after some fat khunt yank screamed "NO ONE LIKES YOU SERGIO!" when he was on the tee.  Why aren't they thrown out?!

He was dealt a bad hand, but hasn’t played it particularly well. Can see Europe going on a real dry run in the Ryder cup, the youts coming through in the US are so much stronger, Hojgaard aside.

What Threepwood said. Probably the biggest disparity in quality between the sides in modern times - was always going to take a monumental effort and big slice of fortune to win.

But some of the decision-making has been really poor. Did anybody seriously think Poulter and McIlroy would get anything other than hammered yesterday? Not that anybody sitting out the session would have been likely to form a winning partnership - but still.

The hand-to-ear-cupping nonsense of Thomas and Finau aside, I’ve still quite enjoyed watching it though - great to see Lowry and Rahm bring home two points even though it is blindingly obvious they were always in a losing cause.

A lot of things could sum up this weekend. But Casey’s singles loss has to be up there. He played some absolutely superb shots to keep in touch with DJ all game. Really plugged away and then misses a short putt on the 18th to halve the match.
