Looking on the BBC page (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51768274) there are some massively varying rates of take up. In my local area 87% of adults have had one dose and 73% have had two doses but if you go to Lambeth it drops to 61% and 40% so not surprising London is a plague pit.
Overall cases down here are about a third of what they were in the last peak which suggests that the jabs are having a large impact.

Average age varies enormously from place to place, and that will have a big effect.
London is full of youngsters.

Indeed but my local area doesn't take in Bexhill which I imagine is 95% vaccinated based on the average age being about 90.

I think there are also data issues with London with a lot of people moving out due to Covid and Brexit which makes uptake look worse.

All the more reason if you live in london to get jabbed and jabbed again

as usual, London varies massively ward to ward, street to street, in terms of vaccination rates
even in Lambeth there will be pockets of nearly 100%, next to pockets of 40%
