Work life Post Plan B

I have opened up my e mails this morning (yes, I know, working on a Sunday).

I work out of various different places and it seems that 'we are going to maintain the current Covid safety measures (WFH where possible, masks whilst moving round the office etc...) pending a further review.  It is hoped we will be able to relax them in Spring'.

When Plan B was implemented, it was enforced immediately in the work environment.  Now it has been relaxed, they want to keep it for another 2 months.

So normality during lunch hour, in the evenings and at weekends, but Plan B whilst you are in the office.  Huzzah!

At my place we’ve gone back to having to go into the office twice a week. “Please think of others” etc but no other encouragement to wear a mask or social distance.

We don't have to mask in the office, we've gone to 50% of desks open for use, have to book before coming in. We don't have enough desks for everyone as it is, so that's only enough space for about 1/3 of us. I'll stay in my study thanks

We're going back to autumn from tomorrow. No restrictions, a request to be considerate of people who are more worried, a request (but not command) to take daily lateral flow tests and a requirement to be in at least one day a week (unless you or someone you're in contact with is vulnerable, which is wide enough that no one has to).

My workplace has immediately relaxed the rules. No need to wear a mask anywhere in the office. But we don't have to go in and can work at home as much as we like. Best of both worlds. Way-hey.
