The Thomson Reuters Foundation, the charitable arm of Thomson Reuters, is proud to announce the official shortlist for the 2017 TrustLaw Awards, an annual ceremony celebrating groundbreaking pro bono work undertaken by leading legal teams with high-impact NGOs and social enterprises around the world. 

Every year we award three outstanding pro bono projects, in addition to the international firm, domestic firm, in-house legal team of the year and the esteemed lawyer of the year award. The 2017 nominees have made incredible efforts to tackle some of the world’s most pressing issues, from child marriage to sex crimes to the rights of vulnerable refugee groups – learn more about the inspiring projects shortlisted this year.

The winners will be unveiled at our awards ceremony on 28 September in London, following a keynote address by Alan Rusbridger, Chair of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and former Editor-in-Chief of the Guardian.
