Yeah, I wanted to go for dishoom, but shootette isn't keen on Indian for breakfast. But culturally insensitive of her, shooty jnr and I were well up for it, but she wants waffles and shizzle.
On a related point. Why tf are there so few diners in London and a lot of those pretending to it are over fussy hipster joints? FYI greasy spoons are not an acceptable alternative.
Dishoom would be fine for breakfast even for someone not wanting Indian food. Most of the breakfast dishes are very "safe". Everyone loves a double bacon naan anyway...
Joking apart, pre cvntdown, the Guinea’s breakfast was stunning. They’ve expanded across the alley, but not yet brought back breakfast. It was many things of beauty and I’m still bereft. Ffs Britain. We’re here. We love the best bits of you. We have denarii.
Wife has booked radison blu EdwardIan Hampshire. So, smack on L square. We're with kids, so will probably be firmly barricaded in hotel by 8pm. Why? Is leicester square a hotspot of stabbing now, or just Über touristy?
I would say Dishoom, but if you want old school - The Regency Caff (where that lad got teapotted in Layer Cake). Gr8 fried brekkie. And the baritone order caller is a sight for sore ears.
fook me! Don’t go to bills for breakfast!! It’s comparatively weak out of the London offerings. They do that shitty thing where they poach eggs long in advance so they’re cold and they don’t make fresh hollandaise and jar hollandaise isn’t hollandaise. You can go to bills anywhere. Please go somewhere good.
I recommend caravan or one of the green chain, daisy green, Timmy green, etc
