Better odds on Zverev though. Rafa? Winning matches again and Novak is the only one he fears . This would probably take him goat -see my accommodation board post.
Stavros has no chance. Would like to see Shapo go deep. Karatsev will do damage also.
Surprised by how well Felix and Denis are playing. The ATP cup obviously gave them both a bit of a boost.
Can’t see it for Rafa. Shapavalov’s game stacks up well against Rafa and he’s next. Having said that if he gets past that he’s got Berretini or Monfils in the semis… so no real challenge now Zverev is out.
Medvedev’s likely opponents are less clear, although there is no-one left in the draw to keep him awake at night.
Nads v Berretini - 65/35 for Nadal. Matteo's floaty backhand won't work.
Stavros v The Bear - 55/45 for Medvedev. Not sure what their h2h is but Tsitsipas loves the Aus and must be fully played in now, so this is close to evens I think.
Judo, by what medium did you place your bet? I love the idea of you popping in to the local Billy Hill's wearing your latest Diane von Furstenberg to place ten shiny sovs with Tracey behind the counter.
It’s a cauldron of noise - very different to the others in terms of atmosphere. Worth it to cross off the list, but Roland Garros and Wimbledon are (at least for me) the ones you return to.

Medvedev more likely. Alcaraz for the surprise ticket. Tsitispas if you want to spaff a bet on someone going home in the first week.

Rafa has a very difficult draw. Hard to see him getting past the quarters.
Agree on Karatsev.

Might be worth £5 on Norrie to get to the final at 33/1.

Medvedev or Rafa.

Rafa's draw just got easier. Zverev out, shapo going well. Shame about karatsev. Tsitsipas somehow still in.
I'm thinking a Nadal v Medvedev final at this point.

Women’s is still completely open.

Still think if you'd told Rafa 3 weeks ago he'd have shapo and berretini left in his way to get to a GOAT match, he'd have sucked you off.

Heh at Judy. Did she accidentally bet on Zverev like her Brexit vote?

Err Zverev is a champion tennis player who was a good shout but who didn’t win on this occasion, you bufffoon.

Nadal now 2 matches away from GOAT. Monfils and Berretini just went to a 5th.

He did better than I expected. Shappers was a bit naive getting distracted by Rafa’s gamesmanship.
Berrettini not going to offer much challenge.
Can’t see Rafa beating Medvedev.

I can see it if Medvedev doesn't show up or gets mardy. Whereas you know what Rafa will bring.
Sinner could be the dark horse in the Medvedev half of the draw.

Felix 2 sets to love up against Danny… the stars are aligning to gift Rafa #21.

I see Stavros bitchslapped Sinner, did not see that coming at all.
Medvedev has pulled back a set now on a breaker, I think he's coming back.
An oft forgotten skill of Nadal is that is he is a spawny basstad.

hehe, Dux, I go to the William Hill on Draycott Avenue (next to Daphne's) and the assistant is always most obliging.
I basically go to the Bookie's on the following occasions:
Aussie Open
Cheltenham Gold Cup
Grand National
Roland Garros
Wimbo

Why do you not have a bet on the US Open Judes - Is this a protest at the uppity septics not accepting their rightful colonial status?

I honestly don't enjoy watching teh US open. and all the U-S-A chanting, although I obvs watched the Raducanu match last year.
And having said that, if I ever got the opportunity to go to Flushing Meadows, I would take it.

Barty nailed on for the home win now surely, and no argument from me on that. Collins gave Swiatek quite the beating though.
