the gen below (for those who have them) are understandably freaking out about the whole global wtf situation
there is no realistic prospect of exciting new adventures, it's just plodding on until nursing home time
I mean being 20 was depressing too but things MIGHT have picked up then

I have by and large enjoyed my 40s more than my 30s - more comfortable in my skin and less pressure and more time for outside interests friends and family

It's very odd.
I'm glad I'm not 26. And I've loved everything I've done since then.
But I'm fckn jealous of the optimism and opportunities they have. I'd kill for the career change that's probably never going to happen now but which was in my grasp 10 or 15 years ago.
