That's interesting that some people here like ink painting. I like the look of it but never really tried it.
Not sure if it counts as art but one of my side projects is making a little mobile game and I've been fiddling around with AI drawing tools to try and get it to create 山水畫 (shanshuihua) style ink pictures for animations. I just can't be Fvcked to do all the animation frames myself but I am finding the tools aren't really there yet.
I'm not being lazy and I can actually draw myself (did art a level even and sketched a lot) and I'm a qualified CAD engineer I just don't have the time to endlessly draw out the same little Kung Fu man a few pixels different thousands of times
I love art. Mainly acrylic. Also love pottery although I don't have a wheel or a kiln or anything. Have dabbled in stained glass and made a lovely window.
I am having a brief intermission with some urban inkscapes which are then washed with watercolor. (Not on watercolor paper).
It's actually there most fun in art I've had for a long time
I then have a choice to go to the intermediate Wong course or move to the other one I bought - abstract landscapes. This latter option seems like I'll get goods results quite quickly and maybe able to knock out some landscapes as greeting cards for friends
Same old grumpy but I am definitely getting better. It would be quicker if I was consistent about practicing. And sticking to one art field and one style inside that art but I am very ADHD and switch around a lot.
Find some (paid for) tutorials online. They help if only to give you structure and order to the learning

Very good. But off Rof. Like sketching, watercolour, oil paint etc.
Or be like that mop lady who uses a mop to paint in one colour on a canvas the size of a small bathroom.

Yes, I am definitely an artist of sorts, or so I am told, when I roll in sometimes in the early hours somewhat dishevelled and slurring all my words.

Dabble in watercolours but mainly prefer ink.
As having a go at acrylic this weekend which I usually fail at. Cvnting stuff never seems to go where you want it. Reckon Pollock had the right idea!

Does painting silly toys count?

Me. I paint but have yet to produce something I like. I am very critical about my own work.

I am an arts and crafts person. It annoys me that I am not better. But, I love doing the stuff.

I design and build Lego cars and trucks.
Not according to instructions, just what I feel like doing. A combination of art, design and engineering, in 3D. I find it creative and rewarding.
Some have won various awards in the Lego community, which is active, so I am not just a lone nutter.

Chambo I think it's fair to say if you are a middle aged man who is an active member of the Lego community you are a little bit of a lone nutter.
I fully support this nuttery btw
