She is from Columbia, South America, but has a very Irish name, i.e. not just Irish surname but also Irish first name. I wonder where the connection is. And the name is not her married name.
she may be doing what she set out to do, and what trump wants her to do, but she's not behaving justly. Do US judges have an overriding obligation to the court? Rather than to the criminal who appointed them.
The ethics commmittee! I wouldn’t trust the ethics of any lawyers on here, see the post office inquiry for further details. Appointment is far less prejudicial - the deed has been done, trump is not the president. The New York judge is buying favors from the current president.

she's doing exactly what she set out to do though.
The 11th Circuit is going to crush her, possibly even demand her resignation once the appeal reaches them.

she might have been named after Aileen Wournos?
It seems they pronounce it "Eileen" rather than what I'd have expected as "Ay leen".

Can a superior court do that Eddie?

probably not but they've already given her a kicking in this case (prior to it being assigned to her).
I'll have to look into the mechanisms they'd use to remove an incompetent judge (Impeachment?)

Can't anything be done about this actual corruption?

and again Dalek, it was cleared by the ethics committee. Also, according to SCOTUS political donations are a first amendment right.
Judge Cannon was appointed by Trump, that's a definite conflict.
