If it’s somebody from a country where a fair chunk of the population is addicted to opiates because they can’t afford to treat the underlying condition then yes they can GET TAE FVCK
Also most of the people suggesting ‘change is needed’ are paid up Tufton St shills rather than people with anything useful or meaningful to say on the matter
They have an agenda that is probably not in our best interests…
No really, it is exactly what happens if you criticise her in any way. Try posting on twitter that the gringotts goblins are a bit of a lazy stereotype and see what happens.
Criticise JKR all you like I couldn’t care less but she’s out there mixing it with loonies on behalf of the silent majority. Most ppl couldn’t give a fvck about that stuff
And she didn’t have to pay for any add ons or gave being told that the cover she’d paid for wasn’t actually available because of some wheedling technicality or some minute failure to fill out some form exhaustively correctly, as is likely whenever private providers get involved in what should remain a pure public service.
And she didn’t at any point have to deal with anyone whose incentive was to deny her care, as is always the case when insurance companies are involved.
It particularly maddens me when people tout the “insurance based model” as a guide for (((reform))) of the NHS. I mean, have you ever dealt with the insurance industry? What was your customer experience like? None of the leading insurance based public healthcare systems in peer countries is notably better at anything than the NHS is. It’s great strength is its accessibility and simplicity,
(Which is not to say it doesn’t need to adapt btw. As Laz rightly say, this chiefly involves more funding. This is why I am looking forward to paying more tax post-MEGAMADGE)

Tbf I’ve never seen anyone get too excited when someone compares the nhs unfavourably with another Western European system
But if a fvcking septic does it, that’s duelling territory

I've seen people lose their shit over any suggestion it needs to be changed

The same cartoon could be written about TERFs, but replace criticism of the NHS with a single negative comment about Joanne Rowling.

We know change just means more privatisation. It's always the Tufton set that are agitating for it and they should just bathe in white phosphorus.

The NHS did save my mum. Twice. Just saying.
And she didn’t have to pay for any add ons or gave being told that the cover she’d paid for wasn’t actually available because of some wheedling technicality or some minute failure to fill out some form exhaustively correctly, as is likely whenever private providers get involved in what should remain a pure public service.

Also, because of its simplicity, it’s very easy to improve the NHS, you just spend a higher % of GDP on it.

How much does a right to die for those terminally ill or the over 75s save the NHS?

People who talk about (((reform))) of the NHS are invariably either useful idiots or shills for Tufton Street.

“fookin’ daily mail twots” is indeed a fundamental (and pithy) true summary of the advocates of healthcare (((reform)))

Tufton Street's sponsors & the tories coming for even more of the NHS now? Seems like a bad idea of Joe (he/him) and Jo (she/her) Public.
Expect more of the same "nudge" propagandising they've use against trans people.
