Cycle paths ruin things for pedestrians

They carve up pavements, cut through traffic crossings, are a fooking liability

Also apparently in Germany pedestrians can be fined for walking in them?????

I don't mind when they're actual cycle paths as opposed to blue signs with a bike on in the middle of a narrow pavement which doesn't have room for a person (especially larger and /or pushing a buggy) and cyclist to comfortably be side by side

I almost got mowed down by a cyclist walking on the narrow path as described above earlier

And almost taken out by some bellend on a scooter

If the paths aren't fit for purpose /just a council box ticking exercise then bikes should be in the road

As a cyclist I also prefer this option
