Do you think Starmer has actually done any drugs?

Or is he just bluffing it out to try to make him seem less nerdy ? "Harry, I had a good time when I was a student" probably means he did do any right?

But if he did do drugs when he was a lawyer does that bring the profession into disrepute? It is illegal after all and although no worse than the drink driving crimes for which lawyers are now being stuck off.

I reckon he probably wafted his hand in a slightly disapproving manner as someone at a student party was getting stoned since as a future barrister he must be seen to distance himself from criminal behaviour.

He was out on the pingers like a good lad while the entire bench opposite were hoovering half the domestic output of Colombia and boring everyone in the immediate vicinity to fvcking death.

i dont think any one in my circle has NEVER done any drugs, that must be vanishingly rare

even at boarding school in the 80s we worked out circa 75% had tried in our year of circa 150

There are always a few weirdos on rof who pipe up and say they have never touched anything stronger than a glass of Sherry Rog but I would be surprised if anyone I know irl has never touched anything as well.

I still have a handful of mates who've never tried anything that's not legal.  To be fair I got through years of raving at uni on nothing more than vodka and red bull.

The endless debates about politicians and drugs and the attempts by journos to catch them out is pathetic. Unless you’re a hard drug user and it impacts your ability to run the country I couldn’t give a shit.

Yeah the stigma around drugs is really weird.

I still think sometimes about a guy I met when travelling back from Gibraltar to Southampton on one of dad's boats. This guy taught me boxing and stuff and we chatted loads he was a really nice guy.

Dad had to effectively kick him out of the Navy because he failed a drugs test. Got stoned at an NYE party.
