guess how much

Iirc the zx connected by way of aerial coax which all tvs still have

In case it doesnt work you can buy mini zx spec consoles loaded with all the games and connected by a usb.  U can also get mega drive and snes ones of these.

I cant seem to find the spectrum one.  You can get atari, c64 and megadrive still.

#2 has an old gameboy advance which we got from a shop that's exactly the same as CEX but isnt CEX (a rare shop in desolate downtown devizes)

I'd be wary of buying old gaming kit

Last year I dragged out my old N64 and Zelda Ocarina of Time

Not only did it look shite on a modern TV, the game has also lost its ability to save and "forgot" everything I did on it and can't save new files now (as soon as you switch it off everything goes). I felt like a chunk of my childhood had been erased tbh .

Something to do with batteries built into the cart that have a shelf life of about 15 years that can only be replaced by opening the cart up with a soldering iron (why the hell would Nintendo make this design choice...)

Legend of Welder more like .. it's no wonder there's so much repackaging of old games, Raspberry Pi emulators etc.

I don’t understand the “recreated wirh original box” thing. Is it reconditioned?

Anyway no the point of buying an original is to buy an original.

Loads of old gaming kit still works and if it doesn’t there are loads of people who can fix it

Does anyone here remember Zarch on the Acorn Archimedes? Sort of loose predecessor to Elite.

All I remember about the ZX Spectrum is the Daley Thompson Decathlon game that knackered the keyboard.
