What footwear do you wear with smartish/casual troosers (i.e. not suit) for the office.

Faod, this is for the summer months. So shoes not boots.

Smartish (usually leather) trainers.

brown leather boots - not sure what the season has to do with it - do your ankles get particularly hot in the summer?

Some sort of dark/smart trainers.

Not sure I'd wear trainers to see a client. No boots in summer. It's weird.

I'm sporting some rather tasteful brown suede lace ups today. Also have a pair of black leather loafers.

Brown brogues with dark chinos. Desert boots with jeans to 'dress up', a pair of Mid Jordans if casual.

why is boots the summer "weird"? You're weird.

Chelsea boots are fine in the summer but nobody wants DM's or the like in summer as just too sweaty. There's a reason why once it's dry enough I ditch my hiking boots in favour of hiking or trail running shoes.

I have to say I feel the 'with feet' qualification in the thread title is a little bit unnecessary

In the winter, black or brown suede shoes.

In the summer, brown deck shoes.

Depending on what else I'm wearing, black/dark brown loafers or Oxfords.

If jaunting about in the countryside or on a social outing I'd wear a pair of light brown brogues, but then only with light coloured clothes.

Right now I am wearing a pair of Skechers, dark blue. They work.

I noticed when I was in hospital a couple of years ago that all the doctors, nurses and other medics were wearing them. They run around all over the place all day and night. Must work for them too.
