Tory carnage.

Fingers crossed for that.

If they get more than 120 seats, that would be a disappointment.

Table from  Calculus prediction published in The Guardian.

I would love to see the Tories be annihilated but handing Labour a majority that would make Putin envious is just silly.

If Labor cared about democracy like Kier claims occasionally, his first 100 days would introduce PR.

RofRoyalty: the Tories calling for PR United with all the other losers is going to make sod all difference in the face of a 485 seat Labour government.

NEVER FEAR, SOME MORE TAX CUTS WILL TURN THIS THING AROUND!!

AND THEY CAN ALL BE PAID FOR BY FUTURE CUTS TO PUBLIC SERVICES SO IT'S ESSENTIALLY FREE MONEY!!

I assume Alastair Campbell came up with Reform as not sure who else has the Machiavellian instinct to produce a party with zero hope of any seats but capable of stripping millions of votes from your opponent. When will Reform bring their passing off claim against the Tories for pilfering their racist nutjob brand?

If Labor cared about democracy like Kier claims occasionally, his first 100 days would introduce PR.

Just to be clear, do you think there is actually any chance whatsoever of them doing this?

No. Labour will not introduce PR.  Starmer is resolutely against it.

Labour centrists think this time it will be different - that they will run the economy so well that FPTP will favour them. They are morons for thinking this. They've been mostly out of power for the last century and KS and RR between them have maybe 5% of Blair's charisma, and half of his skill, so they'll be booted by the end of term one, and definitely term two.

The idea that the right wing press will support them when the Tories have regrouped is nonsense. And if they do somehow get it, it will be becuase, like Thatcher said, Labour are Tory now.

Hmm. I'm sure the tory leaders of the past 14 years would claim to care about democracy and I don't see any PR in place (I don't include the watered down referendum as a sop to the LDs as that was a whitewash shambles).

Sub 19% in the latest You Gov poll! 😊 I wonder if they can manage to get it any lower and genuinely consign themselves to electoral oblivion? Fingers very hopefully crossed.

Sure. But that doesn't have to come from the tories. Personally I would happily see a greater share to the SNP, Lib Dems or Greens.  The Conservative party as it is today is IMHO a threat to the safety, security, wealth and wellbeing of vitually everyone in the UK and it deserves to die.

Agree Fond. But Tory ideas won't die. They'll just find another vessel in which to fester.

And when I say fester, I mean you can't have "good noble Tories" because the essence of Tory is greed, selfishness, and a "me first" mentality which results in the cess pit that is the Tory Party, rife as it is with scandal, corruption and dishonesty.

They don't care. If they did, they'd not be so mired in corruption.

If the 42-seat projection comes true, that will show that the only Troy seats are those where the majority of electors are old non-graduates, bigoted and decrepid  Daily Heil 'readers' and sister-fukkaz.

PCP will be led by Lettuce and Mark François.

The beauty of a 2 party system is they don’t have to run it particularly well. They just have to be more appealing than the Opposition of the day. New Labour suffered for their arrogance and hubris in the latter Blair / Brown years. Starmer is not them, who’s to say current and future leadership won’t produce a different outcome for the next 2 or 3 Parliaments?
