Here on Rof we take our recycling very seriously. Safeguarding our environment means everything. It's the future of our planet, our peoples and our society - it's clearly very important should we wish to continue mooching around doing little for centuries to come.

So, much like a campaigning politician, we're championing the plight of the green economy... We want you to spend more on reclining in greener pastures and wearing greener, more ethical clothing... or at least we want to tell you to shop at Mint Vintage.

When we used to hear the words 'vintage' and 'mint' we think of Fox's Glaciers (which again moves us right back onto the environment... no wonder everyone's talking about it. You can't escape it).

Recycle your clothes or the polar pup gets it

Recycled clothing used to be found at the bottom of your father's cupboard or at Oxfam and other noble shops. It meant wearing them ironically or for doing DIY around the flat and it was rarely seen as mainstream fashion. However, now that we've been introduced to the delights of Mint Vintage, a haven of recovered clothing that is, it somehow seems to be on the cutting edge of fashion.

Founded in 2007, Mint Vintage's raison d'être was to find the highest quality vintage clothing (hitherto restricted to the slightly darker, musty smelling shops dotted around London) that were still 'on-trend and innovative'.

So, unlike some of the other vintage shops around, it's more about specific quality rather than quantity - MV do their utmost to find and offer items that people will want. For the experienced vintage hunter, it means less trawling through racks of coal to find that one diamond...

Since opening, Mint Vintage has definitely proven to be a worthy vintage campaigner - their keen eye and fashion sense has won them many followers and a notable supply slot on clothing powerhouse ASOS - though we heartily recommend dropping in to their Covent Garden shop to find the pieces not listed online. Saving the planet has never been dressed so well (except for the previous owner of course...).
