RollOnFriday has received a bizarre email from an anonymous reader complaining voiciferously about the behaviour of trainees at a recent law fair.

The author - henceforth 'Y' (as in "why did you write this?") - recently attended a law fair at the College of Law Moorgate. The fair was attended by "several top firms". Sadly, the trainees selling their firms to eager students did not live up to Y's impeccable standards. Frothing at the mouth, Y emailed in to RoF Towers with the following:

From: Unknown
Subject: Poor show at College of Law fair by firms

The College of Law hosted an exclusive law fair at its Moorgate site last Wednesday at which several top firms attended.

A trainee at one firm decided to chew gum through the entire conversation I had with her. The culprit with blonde hair wore a grey dress and green nail polish. At one point I thought her gum was going to fall out of her mouth when she was talking to me. Perhaps it would be a good idea to implement an etiquette seat into the training contract.

Another trainee at another firm informed me that she did not want to give too many of their "goodie bags" as she wanted to keep for herself. She also commented that if she won the lottery tonight, she would not bother doing law - a great thing to say at a law fair, she obviously really enjoyed her training at her chosen firm. NOT.

A trainee at another firm was definitely lacking enthusiasm by the time I spoke to her. When asked: "Why did you want to work for this firm?" She replied that she made hundreds of applications and this was the one she was landed with. Law students are aware of this but at a law firm it is not appropriate to say this when you are advertising your firm.

Who knows how these trainees treat clients on an everday basis.

Law firms: BE WARNED, YOU ARE HIRING IDIOTS.

RollOnFriday assumes that Y is an enthusiastic millionaire with bad breath who would never dream of having blonde hair, a grey dress or green nails. And who probably eats bananas with knife and fork.

And - miraculously - doesn't have a training contract yet.

If you are one of the repulsive trainees in question, why not let RollOnFriday know what you thought of our hero?
