Subject: Square Mile Awards - Thank You

Dear All,

Thank you for your support and messages in the run-up to the Awards ceremony just before Easter. I'm pleased to let you know that I won the "Law" category to become Square Mile Young City Lawyer of the Year 2010. The competition was tough (4 other young City lawyers under 30 made the final, and over 40 were nominated). I attach a press clipping (from CityAM, who covered the event) as well as a photo of me receiving the Award from representatives of Lufthansa (who sponsored the young lawyer award).

I wouldn't have achieved this without so many good friends, colleagues, clients etc, so thank you for your support, encouragement and friendship. Hope you have a good weekend, and I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

Best wishes,

Associate (Solicitor, England & Wales)

 Well done, you.

Ex Allen & Overy lawyer and RollOnFriday legend Diedre Dare has apparently offended the American religious right. Sources say that the editor of her current employer, Passport Magazine, has been bombarded with letters calling for her to be sacked, warning that "God won't forget or forgive that he even hired her."

Good job they didn't meet the 66 year old man from Leicester who pleaded guilty to having sex with a horse and a donkey. His barrister, apparently with a straight face, told the court that he didn't "have a stable address".
