A few words from the Glamorous Solicitor winner of 2013, Jeremy Butler:
"I fell off my chair when I received notification of this award. I am over the moon and absolutely delighted to have won this most magnificent award for the merged firm. As a precedent has been set here others will assuredly follow the trend. Apart from appearing in the New Year's Honours list with a gong for services to the legal profession this is the highest accolade one could ever aspire to receive. I'm blown away. A great honour for HKFsi LLP - many more to follow.
As for my "modus operandi", I espouse the Peters principle which, amongst other things, challenges the concept on a lawyers's tombstone stating "He made budget - consistently", as here in the boiler room we like to bring the fun back into the law and if that upsets the Government's austerity programme then too bad.
Too many companies are obsessed with redistributing the cake whereas if one devotes one's thinking patterns to increasing the size of the cake then who knows what one might find in the prospecting pot when one peers into it?
Again many companies seek to produce rank upon rank of clones who all do exactly the same thing. This does not happen here, where we have in our midst many noteworthy personalities and "larger than life" characters who are all revered and worshipped by their clients.
How often do law firms ask clients what they actually think of what we do? Very rarely is my guess.
Creative thinking out of the box is what it is all about as what one did yesterday is already way out of date and is history ready for the dust bin. We are at the cutting edge here.
On the wagon now though come the 1st February I shall raise a glass in celebration. Cheers!"

Well, you're not looking at the whole pie Jenny. Wernham-Hogg is one big pie, and if they've let me in charge of that one big pie, then I'll be in charge of the pie, and the people are the fruit...
