bryan wilson v covid

He's back, and this time he's mad at Covid.

Bryan Wilson, AKA The Texas Law Hawk, has released a Public Service Announcement to encourage people to wear masks.

The one and a half minute film features Wilson battling the human manifestation of coronavirus after it catches him leaving home without a face covering.

COVID-19 is portrayed by a man covered in orange spikes and yellow balls and sporting, for unknown reasons, a bra made of traffic cones.

Utilising deliberately poor dubbing, Covid growls, "I will infect you!", sparking a vicious battle in the attorney's flat.

Wilson's videos usually depict fantastical escapades in which he educates drunk drivers on their rights, but this time around he's not dispensing advice, just pain. He punches COVID in the testes before leaping to his upstairs landing.

Eschewing bleach and hydroxychloroquine, Wilson attempts to keep the virus at bay with a mop.

It's not the flu, though, and the virus hits back, hurling the lawyer down the stairs and attempting to vomit on him.

But unlike the CDC, Wilson is able to manifest The Texas Law Hawk, and retrieves his mask to defeat Covid. It congratulates Wilson, who instructs viewers to mask up, too. Thanks, Law Hawk!

Wilson told RollOnFriday the video grew out of his decision to improve his fitness during lockdown.

"I learned how to fight and got into better physical shape. That turned into an idea about fighting coronavirus since the US/Texas was hit hard", he said.

His best friend was the cameraman, and Coronavirus was played by the police officer in most of his other commercials. "We had a great time feeding him kool aid packets and covering him in Vaseline before every scene", said Wilson.

"Figuring out ways to have fun in my job is important to me", he said. "Hopefully I made some of y’all laugh with this one".

Very funny. The difficult scientific  issue though is if masks work in the way implied and thus if the exhortation to wear in the street one causes more death and indeed might breach trade descriptions law.
