Scheffler is simply too good. His iron play is as good as anyone's has ever been imo. That chip on the 13th(?) when it looked like he'd gone in the water was out of this world, he's unstoppable at the moment.
Scottie is in the top five on every tee to green pga stat this season save raw driving distance. It’s an incredible purple patch. That bogey free round included v little scrambling. Probably just two or three holes where he had to scramble par.
Woods suddenly has a chunky face and bulgey Homer Simpson eyes. The recovery from the car crash seemed strangely quick and full. How long before we find something out?
Masters is crap. The worst major. Only the course makes it bearable. You are not spectators you are "patrons" - oh shut up you republican bigots. No phones please and make sure you wear knee length socks to watch a forkin golf tourny. Bag of w@nk.
The coverage rules are so fvcking stupid, and viewing figures are unsurprisingly going down every year. However, the website last year was spectacular but seems to have reverted to being crap this year.
I’ve always thought the closing two holes let it down.
After the excellence of 10-16, the 17th is really just a very dull par 4 with nothing to really commend itself. They need to put in a couple of bunkers at the back at least.
18 is better, but still pretty meh. Should make the green even more tilted and again add a bunker at the back.
The tradition and the exclusivity of the course make it special. The greens make it special. The wind yesterday was annoying - the rain on Thursday gave a big advantage to the early runners. I suspect they’ll make scoring easy today so the guys 5 shots behind can chase.
MH...I kind of quite like the anti-climax of 17/18 where the pressure is on just to par in if you're winning and there are birdies to be had if you need them. e.g. Sandy Lyle. Stacking a load of water on the last for a big grandstand finish is a bit predictable.
Look at the Brabazon Belfy which held RCs for years...literally the only good holes on the course are 10/18...the rest is like a municipal. 18th at St Andrews is pretty routine too.

Niemann ftw.
De Chambeau to go close. Aberg too.
Rory will not win it.

Will be a Scottie procession unfortunately
Would love Tiger or Rory to win

Rory won't win it. Fancy Fleetwood to go close and hopefully get it done. I've also picked Aberg and Scheffler.

Sounds like it'll be dire weather today, even if they do get off at 2pm.

Woods will hate the cold and damp and possibly having to play two rounds or more than 18 holes close together.

I want to like DeChambeau. He is engaging, intelligent, thoughtful and seems like a nice guy but I just cannot get on board.
Koepka on the other hand is unlikeable. End of.

The shots of the day yesterday include things that make me wonder if these people are not golfers but wizards.

Woods is unlikeable. Always really struggled to respect him.

Woods is fine off course but on course his spitting, swearing and general demeanour make him unlikeable.

Its the best major by absolute miles, but the members do their best to ruin it with their shit rules and TV coverage.

Now I learn that "patrons" cannot run to get the best vantage point so they all do a fast walk. What a stupid bunch the Augusta committee are.

i'm annoyed by the fake bird noise way more than normal this year for some reason, it sounds like they're playing in the rain forest

Chuffers just edges Roger to win the ROF tipster award.
Prize is to play a round with the Augusta Committee dressed in tweeds in mid-August.

Had a Caitlyn Jenner on Aberg E/W at 28's. Some consolation after Bryson shat the bed from late in r3.
Shame, I think Aberg would've run Scheffler close if not for the double bogey at 10.
