Often when people read our little blog they tell us that the only thing that could possibly improve it is less of us and more of them - their opinions, their writing... them. Well, we set this blog up so we can say what we like - get your own soapbox.

Thankfully, Bleacher Report exists to help those budding sports journalists out there by giving them a rather interesting outlet for their work. See? Plenty of places for you to have your say.

Bleacher Report is an incredibly simple idea really - a collection of user-generated sports news and reviews divided into most major sports (and then a multitude of lesser followed sports). Despite the American origins, the football (soccer) coverage is surprisingly good with interesting articles from numerous armchair managers eager to explain exactly why Theo Walcott should have gone to the World Cup and how Man City will never win the Premier League.

The articles themselves are surprisingly good with many regular contributors honing their skills over many different articles. Furthermore, if, like us, you love a bit of US sport but have little knowledge, this is an exceptional resource for learning from other fans who, for example, have taken time out to lovingly put together an article about the top 5 NFL teams this season.

He may look like an oaf, but Francis had some surprisingly excellent insights into the recent turmoil at Liverpool FC

Finally, as mentioned, this is a great resource for budding journos to have a go. Maybe you hate the illogical knee-jerk reactions by some of the red tops? Or the over-intellectualisation by some of the broadsheets? Or maybe you hate the number of exclamation marks used in Match of The Day magazine? Whatever your gripe, if you think you could dazzle readers more, you’ll struggle to find a better outlet than Bleacher Report. It has millions of readers (so your opinions and writing will quickly be examined) and, even better, it has an in-house content team who will work with you to improve your writing - if you’re any good they’ll grant you extra coverage as a ‘featured columnist’.

So, what are you waiting for? Get Bleacher Reporting now and maybe one day you too could work here at RoF.
