Nixon. A crook or a misunderstood President?
Who cares. He lends his name to a fantastic watch brand that associates itself with surfers, skiers, skateboarders and other energetic outdoor activities - basically the opposite of what we are, but precisely what we want to be. Well, not precisely, but 'cooler' is always something to aim for - especially for bespectacled office workers.
Founded in 1997 by two guys with brilliant (but apparently real) names - Andy Laats & Chad DiNenna. I feel cooler just wearing something created by guys with names like Laats and DiNenna. It's like Miami Vice made a watch.
The watches themselves vary greatly in terms of looks, price and functions, but we're big fans of the beautiful Ceramic 51-30 (mens) and the 51-30 Chrono which ably demonstrate the price range of $2,500 - $450 (respectively). If Prez Nixon wore watches like this he may have acted a little more sensibly. Ok, that's tenuous, but it's Friday afternoon and I'm sleepy.
Nixon was eager to show the press his watch told him it was precisely 1:50pm. Tough to tell which is meant to be the short hand though.
If the watches are a little too pricey (and they aren't cheap), be sure to check out the equally cool range of clothing and accessories - we can't wait for pay day when we'll be able to complete our Nixon look with clothes, bags, beanies, belts and a wallet too. Surfers/Skiers/Snowboarders/Skateboarders have never looked so cool
